How to prepare for your treatment
No intercourse 3 days before your procedure.
Hair in the treatment area should be cleanly shaven.
Notify the clinic of any changes to your health history or medications since your last appointment.
Notify the clinic of any of the following as treatments should not be performed if you have:
•Infection in the treatment area
•Bleeding in the treatment area
•Abnormal gynecologic exam within the last 6 months
WHAT TO EXPECT AT YOUR APPOINTMENT
• Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment time.
• The treatment should take approximately 30 minutes.
• No numbing is required.
Patients may feel mild discomfort and describe it as feeling a knocking on the inside.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT
Over-the-counter pain medication is recommended if you experience minor pain/discomfort post-treatment.
Refrain from friction in the treatment area for at least 72 hours post-treatment.
Avoid hot tubs, baths, or swimming for a few days post-treatment.
Skin will be sensitive for a few days.
Do not apply skin irritants to the area for a few days.
Do not shave, wax, or use depilatory creams for a few days.
Apply aloe vera gel to the outer vulva for comfort.
Some crusting in the area for a few days is normal, keep moist with aloe vera gel.
Avoid sun exposure in the area for a few days.
Notify the clinic of any concerns (blistering, excessive redness/swelling, itching, etc)
