A Tinted Sunscreen for Every Single One of You

Renew Family, I have been waiting to share this update for a while and I am genuinely so excited about it.

If you have ever asked me about a tinted sunscreen and walked away a little disappointed because the shade just did not work for your skin tone, I hear you and I have not forgotten about you. This one is for you.

ZO Skin Health just expanded their Daily Mineral Sunshade Broad Spectrum SPF 45 to six shades. Fair, Light, Light Medium, Medium, Tan, and Deep. And that changes everything.

Six shades: Fair, Light, Light Medium, Medium, Tan, and Deep.

For years one of the most common things I heard from my patients with medium to deeper skin tones was that tinted mineral sunscreens left a gray or ashy cast that was just not wearable. So they skipped the tint altogether or skipped sunscreen entirely and I completely understood why. But it always broke my heart a little because daily sunscreen is honestly the single most important thing you can do to protect the results of every treatment we do together. Lasers, microneedling, peels, injectables, all of it. A product only works if you actually wear it and I want you to actually wear it.

Now with a range that goes from Fair all the way through Deep there is finally a match for so many more of you and I could not be more relieved.

So what exactly is this product? Daily Mineral Sunshade is an all mineral tinted sunscreen with ZO's ZOX12 complex. It gives you a natural finish with light to medium coverage and it is formulated to be gentle enough for sensitive and post procedure skin. Each tube is 45 mL so it is a good size for daily use.

Now I know some of you are wondering how this compares to the other tinted options we carry from ZO because yes, there are a few and they are not all the same. Here is a quick breakdown so you know what you are working with.

Daily Mineral Sunshade is our widest shade range at six shades, mineral SPF 45, natural finish, light to medium coverage. This is the one we are most excited about right now.

Sheer Fluid Tint comes in three shades, also mineral SPF 45, but with a semi matte radiant finish at sheer coverage. Great for those of you who want something really lightweight.

Sunscreen and Powder is a brush on option, three shades, mineral SPF 45, luminous matte finish with buildable coverage. Perfect for on the go touch ups.

Smart Tone is a single universal shade with a chemical SPF 50 and a dewy sheer finish. This one works beautifully for patients who are not in a post procedure window.

My best advice is to come in and try the testers in person. Shade matching on a screen is really hard to do accurately and we keep testers at both our Sugar Land and Cinco Ranch SkinBar locations so you can see exactly how each shade looks against your skin in natural light. Our providers will help you find the right match for your skin type, your coverage preference, and where you are in your treatment journey.

Come see us. I cannot wait to find your shade.

With love,

Dr. P and your Renew Wellness Center Family
